I want to cry a thousand places
the world over
and in my beloved Malaysia
the place bountiful promises
the lust of greenery
the blue ocean deep
and be truly Asia.
Cry I will in this beautiful place
forest slowly turn into nightmare
rivers meander with dead fishes
blue sky turn red in the evening sun
(and the sun was red every sunset).
Yes, cry I will as beauty fade away
into darkness of the night
into cruelty that will never end.
